STITCHED CIRCLES COVER PANEL

My card doesn’t take much explaining. I stamped the large individual flower, all the leaves and the stems from the new amazing Peony stamp set in Tattered Rose Distress Ink on watercolor paper and coloured all the images. I added deeper shadows with Faber Castell pencils

Once I’d finished watercolouring each piece,  I left them to dry and then fussy cut the flowers and leaves out,  added foam adhesive to the back of each flower head making sure to have the base of each petal covered by the adhesive to keep them in place.

I set the flowers aside while I worked on the background. I embossed the kraft paper using new Stitched Circles Cover Panel. I deliberately did not want to cut the details completely, just give the texture to the background.

I trimmed the panel to be smaller than an A2 card base and I slightly toned the edges to balance out a floral bouquet. Then I used the foam adhesive to keep the flower heads in place and splattering with paint and white gouache.

Once I foam mounted the panel with flowers to a card base, I stamped a greeting from the new Sentimentally Yours stamp set in clear embossing ink on Midnight cardstock and white heat embossed before trimming to a skinny banner.

Finally, I accented the card with gold crystals.
